Tomorrow marks 4 weeks since my surgery! It's hard to believe I head back to Madison tomorrow already. This will give me a few days to get settled in before heading back to work on Monday. A relaxing weekend getting Pixel reacquainted with the apartment and being the only dog in the apartment. Here's to hoping she adjusts well without Widget being around.
The last week or so has brought dramatic improvements in how I feel and look. My bruising is completely gone externally and I definitely don't get as tired as I did last week. I can also comfortably wear a wireless bra all day now! Thank God I can leave the torture device to sleep time only. There are a few rare times I'm still in some pain: driving over speedbumps and potholes (ouch), attempting to sleep on my side in the middle of the night as I'm so used to doing and working out for more than 30 minutes or so.
Now that I can move around much more easily, I've spent the majority of the last week keeping myself busy with wedding invitations, save the dates and bridal shower invites. I have so many great clients right now! I'll definitely have my work cut out for me with the FT job and invitations. Luckily I love both :)
Better head to bed...I must get up early in the morning to pack up! Will definitely miss Milwaukee, but excited to get back and see everyone.
Yay, Elizabeth! Glad you're feeling so much better -- and glad you'll be back at the store soon!
ReplyDeletesave the dates, eh? magnets?! ;)
ReplyDeleteI remember driving over speedbumps and potholes... ouch! It also took months before I wore the seatbelt across the front of my chest.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth - Yea I'm definitely not a fan of the seatbelt yet!
ReplyDeletePennyroutlette - Not magnets yet, BUT I was planning on calling you this week about the sign now that I'll be back in town and have samples in the right size :) Sorry I didn't call back yet, having some issues with voicemail so it juts came through yesterday. Lame.
I am going to miss you Elizabeth, and Pixel too, when you leave for home. You are a beautiful person both inside and out and I was happy to take care of you for the last 3 weeks. The time just flew by us, didn't it? I hope the rest of your recovery is as successful as it has been so far. I love you...Mom.
ReplyDeletephamos - thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again :)
