{Preparation} Day Before Surgery

I can't sleep!  Can you say nerves?  I've never been put under before or had surgery.  I'm not going to lie - I'm a wuss when it comes to needles, so I'm pretty nervous!  Since setting the date several months ago, I've had many nightmares about the surgery.  All nightmares aside though, I am very excited.  Maybe the lack of sleep will make it easier to get through the day tomorrow.

Here's the plan for tomorrow:

4:00 am - Get up and shower with just dial soap.  No lotion, deodorant, makeup or jewelry.  Wear comfy clothes and a zip or button up top.

5:00 am - Leave for the hospital

6:00 am - Check in and get started!

My phone rang off the hook earlier today!  The anesthesiologist called today to check in and asked me if I was allergic to any meds.  Dr. Mixter's office also called to make sure I remembered my list of instructions and told me the estimated surgery time is two and a half hours.   It's out-patient surgery, so I should be going home tomorrow sometime!
